De directeur van het Centraal Nautisch Beheer Noordzeekanaalgebied, tevens (Rijks-)havenmeester, maakt het volgende bekend:
Door een groot aanbod van ankerliggers, zijn de ankergebieden 7 en 8 op de rede van IJmuiden vol.

In verband hiermee is, overleg met de Nederlandse Kustwacht en RWS Zee en Delta, een tijdelijk ankergebied ingesteld op ca. 8nm WZW van IJmuiden met de volgende coördinaten, nl:

• De onderwater communicatiekabel ’Circle North2 UK NL’ ,in dit gebied is gepland, maar nog niet aangelegd;
• Gelet op de gemiddelde waterdiepte van ca. LAT-16,5m wordt geadviseerd om in dit gebied met een diepgang tot ca. 10m te ankeren;
• Dit tijdelijke ankergebied wordt weer opgeheven zodra de reguliere ankercapaciteit weer toereikend is.

Temporary Corona Anchorage IJmuiden Roads

Period: Tuesday, June 9, 2020 – 10:19
Area: IJmuiden Redegebied
 
The Director of the Central Nautical Management North Sea Canal Area, who is also the (State) Harbour Master, announces the following:
Due to the large number of ships at anchor at the IJmuiden Roads, anchorage areas 7 and 8 are full.

That is why, in consultation with the Netherlands Coastguard and the Division Sea and Delta of Rijkswaterstaat, a temporary anchorage area has been established at approximately 8 nautical miles WSW of IJmuiden with the following coordinates:

• The underwater communication cable ‘Circle North2 UK NL’, in this area has been planned but not yet been laid;
• In view of the average water depth of approximately 16.5 metres below LAT, this anchorage is only suitable for ships with draughts of less than 10 metres;
• This temporary anchorage area will be lifted as soon as the regular anchorage areas have sufficient capacity again.
