With effect from April 1, 2021, Christian Möhrmann (39) will assume overall responsibility for all commercial matters at HGK Shipping GmbH. The company operates a fleet of around 300 of its own and chartered ships with 1,000 employees. Mr. Möhrmann will take over the activities from Walter Steinig, who will leave the management at the end of May and will retire. Since starting his career in 1987, Mr. Steinig has held various positions in the company and has made a significant contribution to the company’s business and financial success.
Uwe Wedig, Chairman of the board of the HGK Integrated Logistics Group: „We would like to thank Walter Steinig for 34 years of active commitment, in which he helped shape the company in various owner constellations and ultimately also played a key role in shaping the transition to HGK Shipping. We are pleased to have found a competent successor in Mr. Möhrmann who will support us in the future development of HGK Shipping in the HGK Group.”

Walter Steinig’s successor Christian Möhrmann worked as a financial expert in the M&A area at Deloitte and E.ON in various management positions in the financial area, most recently for Imperial Logistics International and StepStone.
